

Stephen E. Griffin, 69, of East Hampton passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 11, 2025. Born in Meriden on June 26, 1956 he was predeceased by his parents William and Barbara Griffin.
Stephen attended Xavier High School and was a graduate of Quinnipiac University with a degree in Physical Therapy. Stephen was an entrepreneur and co-founded Valley Physical Therapy which served Middlesex County for more than 40 years.
He was also active in his community through his long-time association with the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce.
Stephen captained his boat “Britannia” which he docked in Old Saybrook, he loved deep sea fishing and spent hours with friends out on the water trying to catch the “big one”. He was also a member of TPC River Highlands in Cromwell CT for many years.
In addition to his other hobbies including golf and fishing, he also raised gypsy horses on his East Hampton farm and made numerous trips to Ireland to show his horses. He had a deep love for animals and always had dogs, cats and horses at his farm.
Stephen is survived by his brothers Bill and Larry Griffin and his sister Linda Worden.
There are no services scheduled at this time but a celebration of his life is planned for later in spring.
