Cynthia Sue Darnell

In loving memory of Cindy Darnell, we remember a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her compassionate heart and vibrant spirit. Cindy was born to Oren Earl and Marjorie Ruth Simon on April 11, 1952. Cindy grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she met her everything, Bill Darnell, Sr., who she was married to for fifty-three years. Bill served in the military for twenty-five years and they were graced with two beautiful children, Bill Darnell and Sara Sedberry.

Cindy worked for many years as a bus driver. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping, going out for luncheons, and going to the beach. She was an avid animal lover and cared deeply for her pets. Cindy will be remembered as a kind person, a loyal mother, and a loving friend.

Cindy was a wonderful and dedicated mother who took great pride in supporting her children's endeavors. You would find her on the sidelines cheering Bill on through his football years and Sara's color guard routines. As her children grew up, she became the proud grandmother of Austin, Marley, Tyler, Abbi, Felicia, and Randy, and great grandmother to Emmet.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Bill Darnell, Sr., children Bill (Hether) Darnell, Jr. and Sara (Jason) Sedberry, siblings Earlene (Stuart) Foreman, Terry (Bill) Hittie, Cathy (Dan) Darnell, and Jerry (Vicky) Bennett, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many dear family and friends.

Services will be held on Sunday, July 7th from 2:00 - 4:00pm at Grace Gathering Church 3157 Minnich Rd, New Haven, Indiana. Neptune Society is in charge of cremation arrangements.
