Steven David Szocik

He was born in Leominster on October 27, 1957 and raised in Lunenburg , son of Alfred C. and Joan G. ( Ouellette ) Szocik, and was a graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna ( Desaulnier ) Szocik; his son Mason Szocik and his wife Jenna; two grandchildren: Jacob and Kyle whom he loved dearly; three stepsons: Michael Desaulnier and his wife Christina, Justin Souvannasack ( predeceased ), and Sean Souvannasack and his fiancee Alicia Kennedy; three sisters: Carol Szocik and her husband Omar Khattab, Marcia ( Szocik ) Boudreau and her husband Paul, and Michelle ( Szocik ) Leblanc; two brothers: Robert Szocik and his wife Kelly, and John Szocik and his wife Rachelle; four step grandchildren: Kylie, Angelina, Mikey, And JJ; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

For several years he worked at his fathers family business, A.C Szocik Inc. as a heavy equipment operator as well as a general contractor, later on working for Powell Stone and Gravel in which he retired.

He greatly enjoyed racing dirtbikes, riding his side by side, RC car racing, fishing, cookouts, NASCAR races and camping. Above all, he cherished time spent with family and friends.

On behalf of the family we would like to thank Kylie Brooks, his granddaughter, for her care and love, and his comfort dog Buck. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
