Scott R.A. Fraser, 86, passed away at the Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester MA on February 14, 2025. Born on April 23, 1938, in Greenville, Maine, Scott was the son of John Joseph Fraser and Pauline M. Maheu Fraser.
Scott grew up on beautiful Moosehead Lake and moved to Massachusetts after graduating from high school. He was a graduate of Framingham State University and worked for many years as a Medical Technologist and ran medical laboratories.
Outside of work, Scott had a variety of interests, chief among them flying. After obtaining his private pilot’s license Scott was a proud member of the Massachusetts Civil Air Patrol.
After marrying his second wife Barbara, Scott moved to Ocala Florida where he was an avid golfer. Scott and Barbara shared a love of travel and traveled extensively including many cruises and trips around the US and Europe. Scott was very proud of his Scottish heritage and was excited and proud to have visited Scotland more than once. When talking about the Royal Edinburg Military Tattoo, he never failed to get a tear in his eye when recalling the majesty of seeing the bands entering the Edinburg Castle Esplanade. In 2018, Scott moved to Hudson, MA and continued to travel, with trips to Maine.
Scott was predeceased by his parents, John and Pauline, his first wife, Linda and his wife Barbara who passed away in 2010. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Fraser of Watertown, MA, his sister Sharon Breton and her husband, Jim of Mystic CT, his brother, John Fraser and his wife Susan of Winterport ME, his stepdaughter, Dana Parrot and her husband Ed of Amherst, MA, his granddaughter Janna Parrot of Amherst, MA and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held later this year.
