Milton “Lee” Rowe, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, at the age of 91. Born April 26, 1933, on a farm in South Georgia, Lee was the son of Jesse Rowe and Lillie Mae Luke Rowe.
Like many of his generation, Lee proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean war.
While docked in Boston on the USS Iowa, he went roller skating and met the love of his life, Doris Hardy Rowe. Their 68-year marriage was built on unwavering love, respect, and mutual care. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and laughter, raising two daughters who became the pride of his life.
Lee graduated from Lowell University with a degree in Engineering and worked for many years at Adams & Russell before becoming a Sales Engineer with MECO. In his spare time, Lee and Doris were out on their boat or dancing at the Elks.
Known for his warm heart, sense of humor, and generosity, Lee had a profound impact on those fortunate enough to know him. He lived his life with humility and grace, always putting family first and giving his time and energy to those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched.
Lee was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Mae Kelley, and his brother Conrad. He is survived by his wife, Doris, his daughters, Karen Rowe and Valerie Rowe Stanley (Mark), his granddaughter Danielle Trottier, and his great-grandson Vincent Hughes. Lee is also survived by his sister(s) Carol Nipper and Janice Crabtree (Bruce).
A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel in Chelmsford Massachusetts on April 12th at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
