

Michael A. Dunn, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 18, 2026, after bravely facing a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born on March 1, 1948, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Michael was a beacon of resilience and warmth whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and community service.
Raised in a family that cherished togetherness, Michael was the beloved son of the late Michael Randall Dunn and Rita Edna Baker. He was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Elton and Angeline Baker, his son Michael Zaker, and daughter-in-law Ellen Coulsey. Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Coulsey-Dunn, with whom he shared 44 glorious years of marriage, filled with shared dreams and unwavering companionship.
Michael was a proud graduate of Abington High School Class of 1967, where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of hard work and commitment. Although he was unable to serve in the military, his career in construction and building windows at New England Shorelines for over 50 years was marked by his strong work ethic and enduring friendships.
Throughout his life, Michael was deeply involved in his community. He was a Life Time Member and Former President of the Hanson Rod & Gun Club, a member of MCMAA, 22Skidoo, and served as a Hunter's Education Instructor for over a decade. His passion for teaching and sharing his skills as a Massachusetts Gun Instructor and Pistol Team Member enriched the lives of many.
Michael’s hobbies were as varied as they were fulfilling. He was an avid hunter, a lover of fishing, and enjoyed the camaraderie of the CB Radio community. Whether clamming, quohogging, or simply being on the water, he found solace and joy in nature. His talent for rebuilding things and woodworking, running the kitchen at the gun club, paired with his generous spirit, meant he was always willing to lend a hand, give the shirt off his back, or share the last twenty dollars in his pocket with those in need.
Michael leaves behind a loving family, including his brother Randall and wife Cindy Dunn, Kenneth Coulsey, James and Christy Coulsey, Jon Coulsey, and Rita Zaker, along with many nieces and nephews. His legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his values and love for life.
A graveside service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at the Holy Family Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the indelible mark he left on their hearts. Further information with be posted by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Michael's memory to organizations supporting Parkinson’s research, a cause close to his heart.
Michael’s life was a rich tapestry of love, generosity, and resilience. His memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in every story shared, every lesson taught, and every act of kindness inspired by his legacy.
