Matthew James Connor

He was born on July 24, 1978, in Boston, MA, where he grew up.

Matt loved to cook, play guitar, and play video games. He also enjoyed mentoring those who were new to the restaurant community.

He is survived, by his mother, Sandra Connor; his uncle and aunt, Mack and Gwen Sweat; various cousins, and his close friend, Kayla Mattice.

The family would like to thank the Mass General Cancer Center for their care and support throughout Matt's illness journey, and Care Dimensions Hospice for the compassion they showed him during his final days.

A celebration of Matt's life will be held at the Wyndham Beacon Hill Hotel on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
