Judith Silverman Leeder longtime resident of Sanibel Island, FL passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 88 years old. She leaves behind her three children and is predeceased by her husband Earle and son in law Buddy Dublin: Cindy Sandler (Gary), Gayle Dublin, and Howard Leeder (Carla), as well as six granddaughters: Jennifer Slemrod (Alex), Betsy Sandler, Allison Grinsell (Andrew), Elizabeth Bull (Elliott), Grace Dublin, and Catherine Leeder; and four great grandchildren: Zachary and Oliver Slemrod, Rayla and Eliana Grinsell. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephew Pamela Sakamoto, Philip Rotner (Kim) and Beth Davis (Chip) and their children. Judith was born on February 25, 1936, in Haverhill, MA and was the oldest of two daughters to Ann and Hyman Silverman.The older sister to Sandy Rotner (Howard) who predeceased her. Judith graduated from Boston University with an education degree and taught elementary school before starting a family. As her children grew up, she enjoyed cooking, playing bridge, attending her children’s events, and playing golf. After raising her three children in Weston, MA, Judith enjoyed many years in her beloved home in Sanibel Island. She loved sitting on her linea, playing golf, and hosting parties. Judith had many close friends in Sanibel who she felt became like family to her. While she loved Sanibel, for many years she always made efforts to travel to celebrate family events like graduations, weddings, bat mitzvahs, and family holidays. Judith was an avid traveler and traveled to five out of the seven continents. She loved traveling with her friends but also enjoyed taking her children and grandchildren with her. When each of her granddaughters turned 13, she took them on a trip to Europe. Here whole family looks back fondly on their travels with Grammy, especially when she took the entire family on cruises for her 65th birthday and to Israel. Judith was a philanthropist and advocator for education. She was a patron of the arts and attended various concerts, musicals, and theater performances all over the world.
