Janis I Chilingarian

Janis (Bickford) Chilingarian, passed away on March 15, 2025 at the age of 77. She was surrounded by her family as the sunset took her away to Heaven. Janis was born on September 15, 1947 in Weymouth to the late Isabelle Bickford (Becktold) and the late Sumner Bickford. Janis grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School. Janis worked in retail for over 30 years, her last job being at the Walmart in Abington before she retired in 2020. Janis loved spending time with her family and watching her Hallmark Channel movies. Some of her favorite things to do included, cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events, traveling with family, going to the casino, getting her iced tea from Dunkin’, getting her nails done and shopping for things she didn’t need. Janis is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Gregory Chilingarian Jr., son Gregory Chilingarian III and his girlfriend Lori O’Meara of Bridgewater, daughter Kimberly Lee and her husband Kevin Lee of East Bridgewater, granddaughter Courtney Palumbo and her husband Stephen Palumbo Jr. of Pembroke; as well as her other grandchildren, Caitlyn Chilingarian, Taylor Chilingarian, Payton Lee, Connor Chilingarian, Mark Lee, Brayden Chilingarian and her two bonus granddaughters Natalie O’Meara, and Mae O’Meara. She was also the best Nani to her two great-grandchildren, Isabelle Nunes and Stephen Palumbo III; Janis was also the sister to Joyce Wright and her late husband Bob Wright of South Carolina, sister to the late Linda Hayward and her partner in life Huey Logan of Rockland, sister to Lori Kelly and her husband Jim Kelly of Abington, and sister in-law to Rick Chilingarian and his wife Lisa Chilingarian of Colorado, as well as an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In honor of Janis’ wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
