

Gerald "Jerry" Lanciault, affectionately known to his family as "Pop Pop," passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 70. Born on December 30, 1955, Jerry leaves behind a legacy of dedicated public service, community involvement, and deep love for his family.
Jerry spent his life serving and protecting others. He was a dedicated firefighter for the Auburn Fire Department for 23 years, serving from 1973 to 1996. He then continued his commitment to public safety by serving as a hospital police officer at St. Vincent Hospital for another 23 years. In his earlier years, Jerry was an active part of the local community, notably helping to form the Auburn Men’s Softball League. An avid sports fan, he held a lifelong love for all New England sports teams.
Jerry is survived by his best friend and ex-wife, Lynnette Lanciault; his daughter, Krysta Brunner, and her partner Matt Demers; and his beloved granddaughter, Madisyn Derie.
He is also survived by his sister, Donna Alger of Auburn; his brother, James Lanciault and his wife Laurie of Auburn; his brother, David Lanciault and his wife Kathy in Texas; his brother, Robert Lanciault and his wife Valerie in Virginia; and his brother, Steven Lanciault and his wife Erika in Texas. He leaves behind his brothers-in-law, John Shea and David Glanville, along with many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Leon Lanciault, as well as his two sisters, Judith Shea and Virginia Glanville.
Services will be private to the family, and there will be no public calling hours. A future "Celebration of Life" event for friends and family will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the National Cancer Society.
