Born in Gardner on July 5, 1941, David was the son of the late Charles and Stephanie (Stomski) Kanozak. A graduate of Gardner High School (Class of 1959). David enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (1960). David was employed as an inspector at Norton/St. Gobain in Worcester for his entire career.
David’s first priority was always his family as he never missed a game played by his children when they were growing up. He attended many of their collegiate athletic events and later went on to watch his grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts and plays. In his younger years David loved to hunt, fish and camp with his brother Ed and his father Charlie. He loved to take his children to Crane, Hampton and Salisbury beaches. But his fondest memories were at his brother Eddie’s camp on Flying Pond in Vienna, ME. Kanozak family reunions and vacations at the camp were always special to him.
David also loved the New England Patriots and attended many games when he was younger with his best friend Tim Girouard. His love for the Patriots was passed down to his children who all became avid fans.
David is survived by his three children, Terry Henry of Beverly; David B. Kanozak II and his wife Katie of Needham; and Catherine Kanozak of Killington, VT; five grandchildren, Keller and Piper Pauly, KC, Colin, and Christian Kanozak.
He was predeceased by his sister Teresa Hendrickson, his bother Edward Kanozak, and his son-in-law Ed Henry.
His family would like to give special thanks to Sunrise at Gardner Park and Care Dimensions for their compassionate care and dedication to David. The family asks that you please consider a memorial donation to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
