Teddy Lee Peterson, age 73 of West Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on January 3, 2025. Teddy worked as a boilermaker and later worked and retired from JEA.
He was an original member of the “Jetty Rats” and spent a lot of time driving around, in his early years at the Jetties in his red fastback mustang and later years everywhere in general just to get out and drive. He loved going "Rabbit Racing." Teddy was known as quite the character, he was resourceful and able to figure out how to make things work. He was a collector of lost, shiny things and enjoyed fishing in his free time. Everything that Teddy did in life came from a place of love for his friends and family.
Those left to remember him are his son, Travis Peterson (Erica Wagner) of Des Moines, IA grandchildren: Meili Jane Peterson, Caydence May Wagner and Brandon Matthew Wagner; brother, Danny Peterson and sister, Sherry Harper, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
