Mike enjoyed crossword puzzles, card playing, the Iowa State Fair, old westerns, dining out and scooter rides with grandson Jace. He also loved reading to his grandson and teaching him the love of learning. Mike was an avid boater and loved spending his summers at their home on Lake Okoboji, and in his younger days, Arnold’s Park.
Mike graduated from the University of South Dakota with a BS, BA, and Juris Doctorate (JD). Mike traveled the Midwest as an elected Law School Representative. While establishing a private law firm in Aberdeen, SD, he ran for state attorney. He is a member of the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association and the West Des Moines Rotary Club. He spent the majority of his career as the VP of Norwest Bank Trust Dept. Mike, along with his wife Celeste, owned the Great Earth Nutrition for many years.
