

Norma Joan Hubbard, of Adel, Iowa, passed away on July 11, 2026 at the age of 91. She was born in Iowa City, April 22, 1935, to Cora Marie Allen. She grew up and spent her entire life in Dallas County. She graduated from Washington Township, in 1953.
She worked as a cook in the Adel DeSoto Minburn school district for 20 plus years.
She was an avid reader. She also crocheted approximately 100 afghans during her life, and gifted them to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, George Cotten, her second husband, Harold Hubbard, her daughter, Carolyn Cotten, her son, Donald Hubbard, daughter-in-law, Melissa Hubbard, son-in-law John Kenoyer, granddaughter Jodi Bedore and a great grandson Grayson Jackson.
She is survived by her children, David Hubbard, Cheryl Jackson, Sharon Kenoyer, and Bruce (Heather) Hubbard. 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her classmate and life long friend, Flossie Morrell.
The family would like to thank Adel Acres Nursing Home staff and Hospice of the Midwest staff for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the American Legion hall at 119th 9th St, Adel. on August 30, 2026 at 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
