

Born on December 17, 1944, in Algona, IA, Karen was the daughter of Floyd and Gertrude (Kinder) Fish.
Karen worked as wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother as well as outside the home for Preferred Risk Insurance Company and Union State Bank.
Karen was a woman of great faith and an active member of Early Chapel Christian Church, her family in Christ. She was a regular volunteer at LC Clinic in Stuart, IA, where she enjoyed supporting pregnant women and children alongside her friend and coworker Naomi Ehrmans.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Gertrude (Kinder) Fish; sisters Lily Stattelman and June Davis; brother LeRoy Fish; and son Michael Hochstetler.
Karen is survived by her husband of 62 years Chuck Hochstetler of Winterset, IA, sister Dixie Bowman of Mason City, IA, daughter-in-law Kimberly Hochstetler of Winterset, IA, daughter Kelly Hochstetler (Brian Jennison) of Charlottesville, VA, son Kevin (Darcie) Hochstetler of Grimes, IA, grandchildren Ashley (Erick) Miller of Ward, AR, Tyler (Carol) Hochstetler of West Des Moines, IA, Brooke (Matt) Donahue of Adel, IA, Crystal (Gage) Harden of Adel, IA, Noah (Marissa) Hochstetler of Detroit, MI, and Kayla Robnett of Grimes, IA, and her beloved great grandchildren Austin and Anderson Baker; Fiona, Eliana, Uriah and Salem Hochstetler; Maddox and Zeke Harden; and Maeve and Addie Donahue.
The family would like to thank Jean Huckstadt for the care, compassion and friendship she showed Karen in her final months.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Early Chapel Christian Church (1462 165th St Earlham IA 50072) on Friday, May 1 at 11:00. Visitation with the family and friends will begin at 10:00.
