Frederick Clarence Aldrich

Frederick Aldrich went sweet walking out of this world on May 13, 2023. Fred, Dad, or Dr. Fred, as he was known, was born on November 11, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1973, and began practicing as a pediatrician in his hometown. A few years later, Fred met his match—his wife, Jennifer, and they were married in 1980. Fred and Jennifer then welcomed their first child, Lindsey, followed by Stacey, Jaymes, and Jennifer. Fred loved being a father and a doctor, but his favorite title became “Papa” when his grandson, Julian, was born. Fred loved laughing with his family, enjoying lunch dates with his friends, telling the ultimate dad jokes and sharing stories of the “good old days,” and treating his patients with love and care for 50 years. He is preceded in death by those whom he loved and is survived by those who love him. In lieu of flowers, stay healthy, hug your kids, and whenever you run into an Ohio State fan, tell them, “GO BLUE!”
