

Colson had many interests, he loved playing video games with friends and was very into electronics, especially robotics at school. He enjoyed Transformers, Minecraft and Legos were never far from his reach. A few of his favorite TV shows were DragonBall and OnePiece. Colson had an extensive Pokémon collection as well. He was always ready for pizza, bacon cheeseburgers or pancakes.
Colson recently discovered the beauty of the East Coast and talked about going back as often as possible. His love for travel began to expand with every adventure he took with his Dad and Stepmom. He would always tell people if you’ve never ziplined or driven go-karts YOU SHOULD DO IT! Colson very much enjoyed spending time with his family, he especially loved being a big brother and playing with his two little sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his maternal grandfather, Jerry Bartling of Des Moines; mother and stepfather, Lindsay Bartling and Ryan Collier along with sisters, Mia and Hartley Collier, all of Boxholm; father and stepmother, Brandon King and Andrea Brownlee of Perry; paternal grandparents, Randy and Jill King of Boone; step grandmother, Dorothy Brownlee of Moundsville, WV; aunts and uncles: Courtney (Arturo) Hernandez of Walnut Grove, MO, Allison (Bill) Mayer of Pittsburgh, PA and Ben (Nichole) Brownlee of Westfield, IN; cousins: Hailey, Hunter, Havyn, Holly Hernandez; Jack and Molly Mayer, Lucy, Amelia and Sid Brownlee along with many great aunts and uncles.
Colson is preceded in death by his grandmother, Pamela (Suiter) Bartling and great-grandmother Elaine Baber; great-grandparents Bill and Donna Ostberg; Wilbur and Marjorie King.
A celebration of life for Colson will be held on Saturday, April 25th from Noon until 2PM, at the Leonard Good Community Center (114 SW 8th Street Ogden, IA 50212).
