Angela Wright

Angie Marie (Carter) Wright, 48, passed away on September 28, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1977, in Des Moines, Iowa to Leslie Carter and Kathy (Sater) Rhoads. Angie received her GED and attended Vateratt Community College. She worked as a CNA and raised three sons: Noah, Jonah and Cameron.

In her free time Angie enjoyed thrifting, crafting and sewing. She loved music, especially rock and roll and specifically Guns n Roses. Angie cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers, liked tattoos and gnomes. Angie had a huge loving heart. She loved working with the elderly in the nursing home and home care. She gave everyone a chance and never turned anyone away. Angie gave her all to her kids, they were her whole world.

Angie will be missed by her sons: Noah (Kaylei) Wright of Des Moines, Jonah Wright of Des Moines and Cameron Wright of Des Moines; her mother, Kathy Rhoads (and stepfather Randy) of Des Moines and her father, Leslie Carter. She is preceded in death by her step-father, Keith “Keefer” Chandler, grandparents, Novella Sater, John Sater, Dezerra Bruce and Allen Bruce.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 12-4PM, Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 2050 SE Four Seasons Dr Ankeny, IA 50021. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to her sons.
