We are celebrating the life of Olga Reynosa. Olga was born in Woodland, California on December 17, 1946 to Antonio Duran and Isabel Barrera. After spending her formative years up North, Olga moved to Pasadena, California where she met and married David Reynosa on October 21, 1967. Together they settled in Whittier, California, and shared six beautiful children David, Paul, Gina, Dax, Shay and Zane, which led to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Starting from an early age, Olga had an infatuation with flowers, wishing to become a florist. This love of flowers turned into a love for gardening and planting seeds. In many ways, Olga planted seeds in every aspect of her life. In her ministry, in her children & grandchildren, and especially towards anyone whom she felt needed seeds sown. She had a heart to help all who were in need or in pain.
In their early years of Christianity, they learned how to serve the Lord, which led to Olga and David Reynosa became leaders of the Children’s Ministry. They were formative in shaping and leading children to the Lord. Those who witnessed it will always remember their plays, music, dancing, homemade sets, and puppet shows. Towards their later years, they spent their lives ministering at their own Church known as ‘His Place Fellowship’. It was there that Olga famously hosted Women’s Conferences that gave women a space to praise and embrace the Lord. This showed women that they are life givers, and light carriers, which is an important part of Olga’s life message.
Olga and Pastor David created a foundation that can forever be built upon by their family for the generations to come. Her wit, charisma, and eloquence made all who knew her love her. She nurtured friendships that lasted lifetimes. She gave with all of her heart. She served. She guided. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
