

Born on October 4, 1936, in Kandy, Sri Lanka, to Percy and Pearl Gunarwardene of Margaret Valley, Geli-Oya, Naomi - a woman of extraordinary beauty and grace- devoted her life to family and her faith. She enjoyed gardening, music, and traveling.
Naomi was a devoted wife to the late Titus M Perera. A proud and guiding mother to her loving children, Devika Munasinghe, Hemann Munasinghe (Spouse) , and Pradeep (Pete) Perera, Wedyana Perera (Spouse).
A doting grandmother to Kalisha Perera, Michelle Munasinghe, Ryan Munasinghe, and Brandon Perera.
Naomi was a caring sister to the late Olga Ponnamperuma, the late Elmo and Malcolm Gunerwardene, and is survived by her brother, Earnest Gunerwardene, sister, Monica Elangasinghe, and loving goddaughter Nanga Rocha.
Although the world feels a little dimmer without her in it, we carry her with us in our hearts. She leaves behind a blueprint for living with courage, humor, and grace. She showed us how to find our own voice, face challenges with resilience, and stand tall in the face of adversity.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic Church, 747 Meadow Pass Rd, Walnut Ca 91789 on Friday Aug. 21st 2026, 12 Noon.
