I am sad to report that yesterday morning, June 14th, my dear husband Larry took his last breath and embarked on his final adventure. In addition to me, he is survived by his son Andrew and daughter-in-law Eva, his daughter Amy and son-in-law Elliott Hirschfeld, grandchildren Sofia Fogg and Asher Fogg, and his precious dog Maggie. His brother, Harold Fogg, predeceased him last Wednesday; always competitive, Larry and Harold agreed they were in a race to the finish line and Larry was quite upset when Harold won.
From his childhood on the farm in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and participation in 4H (grand champion steer and best senior 4H showman at the Greene County fair!), Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout with further honors), to his long career at McDonnell Douglas-Boeing as an engineer and aircraft accident investigator, where he won numerous awards for excellence and received a patent as part of his safety engineering, to a retirement filled with travels that exceeded his wildest expectations, he lived a remarkable life. His legacy and love for travel lives on in his website, www.larryfoggtravels.com, maintained by his loving daughter Amy, who posted a lovely tribute on the "Future" page.
I hope to have a memorial gathering in August.
We will all miss him greatly.
