Joseph Reynoso Jr.

February 28, 1937 - December 7, 2025

Joseph “Joe” Reynoso Jr., 88, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on December 7, 2025.

Joe, the son of Joseph and Juanita (Centeno) was born and raised in Corona, California. Joe graduated from Corona High School, Cal Poly Pomona, and received his masters from Pepperdine University.

Joe had many jobs from lifeguarding in Corona, to owning a sporting goods store, to working at the prison, to teaching/counseling/administrating mostly in the Chino Unified School District at Chino High and Don Lugo High, and ultimately working at “the gym” in Henderson after retirement.

Joe loved sports. He played football and baseball in school (including a minor league baseball stint), enjoyed many rounds of golf with friends and family, watched one sport or another almost daily on TV, and played the slot machines.

After retirement, Joe and Barb enjoyed spending time with their dogs (Sadie, Shaq, Enzo), visiting family and wine tasting in the central coast, vacationing in Cozumel with family, gambling, and entertaining family in the backyard with pool parties and BBQs.

Joe made friends everywhere he went and was loved by all. He had a great smile, positive disposition, great sense of humor, and a knack for telling stories (over and over…).

Joe enjoyed surrounding himself with family and friends. Up until three months ago, Joe and Barbara lived in a two-story home with extra beds, a relaxing patio and pool, and a BBQ island where he enjoyed grilling tri-tip, steaks, burgers & dogs through the years.

Remaining to cherish Joe’s memory are wife, Barbara; daughter, Vicki & Jack Woodfin; son, Rick Reynoso; daughter, Kelli & Jason Reese; son, Jeff & Melissa Baumunk; son, Darren & Amanda Baumunk; grandson, Jordan & Samantha Ibsen; granddaughter, Amanda & Zak Doss; grandchildren, Brook Lynn, Blake, Payton, Addyson, Cade; great-children, Kendall, Madilyn, Zoe, Paige, Rhett, Stella; nieces and nephews, Laura Perea, Ron Chavez, Vivian Clibon, Patty Chavez, Susan Moss, Jerry Reynoso, Deane Pinelli, Sylvia Pinelli, Vic Pinelli Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe’s memory may be directed to The American Cancer Society.
