Ronald Niedwiecki passed at home with his wife of 60 years Judy Niedwiecki after battling cancer for over a year and half. Born August 9, 1943, Ron is survived by his children Kevin(Shelly), Anthony(Waymon), and Angela(Jason), his grandkids Bret, Carly, and Connor, and his sister Joyce (Kurt) and brother Bob (Diane). He was welcomed home by his parents Edward and Helen, as well as his beloved dog Brandy.
He was a man of stories some factual… and others less so. His favorite story was how he met Judy, who he claims jumped on the hood of his car at the drive-in. Those details are still controversial in the family.
Ron loved music, being surrounded by friends and family, and good Polish food like pierogis, city chicken, and stuffed cabbage. He and Judy did retirement right, making friends and drinking rum runners at the Lani Kai in Fort Myers. He even got his first, and only, tattoo at the age of 63 with Judy.
He is, and always will be, the Legend.
A celebration of Ron’s life will take place on August 19, 2023 in Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
