in West Virginia to Mike and Lucille (Kemper) Elkins. She was the third of five children.
Margaret was a beloved wife to her husband Jim. They happily celebrated 52 years of marriage at her passing. She was a loving and giving mother to her two daughters Kim (Rick) and Toni (Todd). Margaret was a grandmother of 5; Josh, Samantha, Katherine, Rachael, and Justin (Teagan). She also enjoyed her 10 great grandchildren.
Margaret enjoyed many hobbies and crafts of all kinds such as ceramics, making earrings and woodcrafting. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and volunteered at the library. Margaret enjoyed reading mysteries but more than that Margaret loved starting each new day riding her stationary bicycle while reading her Bible straight through several times a year. She made and donated hats each year to the homeless veterans. Margaret never met a stranger.
God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me.” With a tearful eye we watched you and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your tender hands at rest, God took you home to prove to us He only takes the best.
