

Leroy Marvin "Jim" Wagner, 92, of West Chester, Ohio passed peacefully at home on April 25, 2024. Born on April 16, 1932 in Lansing (Park Lake) Michigan to the late Andrew and Jeanette (nee Verhoeven) Wagner, Leroy was preceded in death by his wife Marcella Wagner (nee Lavey) and brothers Hank, Bill, Jack, and Don Wagner.
He is survived by his sister Martha Blonde of Lansing, Michigan; children Sharon Wagner of West Chester, Ohio, Linda Allen of San Diego, California, and Edward Wagner of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; grandchildren Stephen Wagner, April Diaz, Juliette and Natalie Decker, and Jeffrey and Genesis (Sho) Wagner; and great-grandchildren Syrus Wagner and Riley, Jaxyn, and Kobe Leroy Diaz.
Leroy was a graduate of St. Mary Cathedral High School in Lansing, Michigan and served in Korea as Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was owner and President of Leroy Wagner Construction. Leroy loved fishing, boating, learning about U.S. and world history, telling stories, and playing the harmonica. He will be remembered for his selfless dedication to family and abiding love for his wife and partner of 57 years, Marce.
A private service will be held in San Diego. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
