Judith Ann Roberts

Born on December 29, 1946, in Kenton, Hardin County, Ohio, Judy was the daughter of Vincent M. and Helen M. (Lease) Cavin, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Urgelle M. Roberts, whom she married on May 16, 1975.

Judy began her professional journey at Procter & Gamble in 1974, where she worked in the office for 20 years until 1994. She later enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an H&R Block tax professional from 1991 to 2015. Starting in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Judy eventually became the Office Manager at the H&R Block office in Celebration, Florida, after relocating to Orlando. During the tax off-season, she found joy in working part-time at Walt Disney World’s retail shops.

A woman of faith, Judy was a member of Hopewell Church in Bellefontaine. She cherished life’s simple pleasures—taking motorcycle rides with Urgelle, collecting frogs and Hummels, playing card games with family, and caring for her beloved pets over the years.

Judy is survived by her children: Robert V. Roberts and Carey E. Brentlinger (both of Dayton); three grandchildren: Charles M. (Michelle) Brentlinger, Chandler M. Brentlinger, and Chase M. Brentlinger (all of Dayton); and two brothers: Bryan E. (Joanne) Cavin of Rosewood, OH, and Jim E. (Alice) Cavin of Wilmington, NC. She was preceded in death by her brother Wayne A. Cavin. Judy also leaves behind three nephews and three nieces who will fondly remember her.

Judy’s warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she touched throughout her life.

The family will honor Judy with two Celebration of Life ceremonies to accommodate her friends and family in Florida and Ohio.

The first Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Lake Alfred United Methodist Church located at 130 S Pennsylvania Ave, Lake Alfred, FL 33850

The second Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Hopewell Church located at 3746 US-68, Bellefontaine, Ohio.
