Teresa Ann Pitts

On October 19, 2023, Teresa Ann Pitts passed away at the age of 66 after her long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. She was born November 17, 1956 in Lima, Ohio to Leo Perry and Doris Schindler. She spent most of her childhood with her two brothers, Glenn Perry and Kenneth Perry.

She attended Ohio State University, where she got her associates degree in teaching. She then moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia and began began her career teaching. She spent most of her career teaching at the Center for Effective Learning (C.E.L.), where she taught 7th and 8th grade Science to disadvantaged children. She loved teaching and helping kids. Teresa retired from her teaching career at Newtown Elementary.

Teresa was also a lover of music and arts. She enjoyed playing her violin and guitar, and jamming out with family and friends. Teresa was a very loving and supportive wife and mother. She leaves behind her husband, Anthony Pitts; her son, Anthony Pitts; her daughter, Angela Dennis; and her grandchildren, Nellita Pitts, Kayla Freeman, Camden Carr, and Cali Carr. She will be missed dearly and her love will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held, Saturday November 18, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., 4821 Hinsdale Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
