Steve Wilbraham died peacefully on June 9, 2026, in his home in Virginia Beach, VA. His wife, Linda and his sister, Lois were singing, “All Hail King Jesus” as Steve was ushered into his eternal home to forever sing those words before his Savior.
He was born July 19, 1943 in New Jersey to the late Charles and Alice Wilbraham.
Although Steve was brought up in a loving Christ-centered home, he did not always follow Jesus. At the age of 35 years old he fell to his knees and surrendered his life to follow Christ as Lord. From that day on, his forward thinking and free-spirited mind led him to influence many for the gospel. He was a Bible teacher, a writer and author, and a witness in his community and wherever God placed him.
Steve’s entrepreneurial skills gave him the opportunity to be the CEO of a limousine company based at Philadelphia International Airport and owner of a successful landscaping business in Florida. He was a master at gardening and was an online and in-person Scrabble champion.
He was a life-long learner, often reading multiple books at a time and taking on-line courses. A focus of his over the last few years was teaching Bible memorization for all ages.
He is survived by Linda, his loving wife of 47 years and his children Star, Brooke and Stacy, as well as grandchildren Lydia and Joshua Utton, and Emily Martin. He also leaves behind his older brother Ed, his dear sister Lois, and their families.
A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on August 8th at 12:00 pm at Hope Lutheran Church on Providence Road in Virginia Beach.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Prison Fellowship Ministries would be greatly appreciated. This can be done on-line at prisonfellowship.org.
