Shirley A. Davis

Shirley A. Davis, age 89, of Norfolk, Virginia passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025. She was born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC. In 1954 she graduated from Elizabeth City High School, where she participated in the marching band. Later she moved to Hampton, VA and married Robert Louis Davis Sr. in 1960. Shirley worked for Maida Manufacturing Co. for 24 years. She loved music, cats, casinos, movies, traveling and going on cruises. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed!

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sandra D. Crook and her husband John S. Crook.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jospeh Ammeen and Jessie Nooney Ammen; husband, Robert Louis Davis, Sr.; son, "Bobby" Robert Louis Davis, Jr.; along with 6 brothers and sisters.
