

Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Russell attended Boy's High School (PS 83) before pursuing higher education and earning an associate degree from Baruch College. He built a dedicated career as an accountant, applying his sharp mind and attention to detail to his lifelong work.
A proud veteran, Russell honorably served his country in the United States Army as a member of the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division. Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, he had a passion for track and field and was an avid coin collector, a hobby he pursued with great enthusiasm throughout his life.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Regla Winterflower Robinson; his daughters, Tamara Robinson and Velecia Robinson; his step-daughter, Venette White; and his step-son, Chester McKissick.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine L. Booth; his father, Russell Robinson Sr.; his sister, Rosaline Robinson; and his brothers, Ronald Robinson and Rudolph Robinson.
A service celebrating Russell's life will be held Tuesday September 15, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehab, 1000 Old Denbigh Blvd, Newport News, VA 23602.
