Paul Douglas Corbett, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 8, 2025. Born on May 1, 1943, in Quincy, Massachusetts, Paul lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and service to others. His gentle spirit and quiet strength were constants to all who knew and loved him.
Paul’s early years in Quincy, MA, shaped the values he carried throughout his life—hard work, humility, and a deep respect for others. Over the years, he made homes in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Virginia, enriching each community with his warmth, generosity, and steadfast character.
A lifelong pharmacist and hospital administrator, Paul devoted his career to the well-being of others. His leadership, calm presence, and unwavering commitment to patient care earned him the respect of colleagues across decades. He later discovered a second calling as a Christian counselor, offering guidance, empathy, and hope to those seeking direction and healing.
Beyond his professional life, Paul gave freely of his time and talents. He was a founding member and charter president of the Medway Lions Club, helping to build an organization committed to service and supporting those in need. His desire to help others was not only a career path, but a defining feature of his life.
Paul’s joys extended into many hobbies that reflected his curiosity and appreciation for detail. He was an avid collector of antiques and coins, and he had a passion for photography, often capturing the small, meaningful moments that others might overlook.
Family was Paul’s greatest treasure. He was the beloved husband of Jean Corbett. He was the devoted father of Elisabeth, Jennifer, Emily, Jessica, and the late Andrew whom he shared with his wife of 36 years, Mary Lou, who predeceased him. He was also a proud stepfather to Peter, Jennifer, and Rebecca. He loved his sons and daughters in-law like his own children. He was a loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother Michael Corbett.
Those who knew Paul will remember his kindness, his integrity, and his gentle humor. His life was defined by service, compassion, and quiet faith. His presence made the world a better place, and his legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on Friday, December 12, in the Magnolia Room of Atlantic Shores to honor and celebrate Paul’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in his memory, reflecting the spirit with which he lived.
Paul Douglas Corbett will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the example he set will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
