Melissa "Misty" Rodgers Peele

Melissa Peele, Aged 64, of Norfolk, VA, Formerly of Chesapeake, VA passed away on May 26th, 2026. Melissa “Misty” loved her grandchildren, children, and siblings Elaine and Dani. She loved to spend time cooking with her Grandbabies and watching Shrek but also had a love for Scary Movies.

She is Preceded in death by her late husband William “Bill” Peele, mother, Margaret Rodgers, father, Thomas Rodgers, and her two brothers Thomas Rodgers Jr. and Benjamin Rodgers.

She is survived by:

Her Children: Robin Hall(Brian), Robert Rodgers, Alexandria Rodgers(Chris), and John Keenan III(Melissa), and her 10 Grandchildren – Anthony, Mackenzie, and Payton Hall, Levi and Raylynn Rodgers, Adaline Keenan, Tabitha Heater, Aiden Wentworth, and Nathan and Hunter Schaub.

Her sisters:

-Elaine Martin with Husband John Martrin and their children JT (children Stella and Seldon), Jessi (children Jullian, Caroline, Caleb, and Luke), and Katie (children Keegan and Finn).

-Danielle Greene with Husband Matt, and their children Jake, Josh, Abbi (daughter Brynli).

-Renee Rodgers

Her brothers:

- Thomas with wife Renee Rodgers, (children Samantha and Thomas)

- -Brother Benjamin Rodgers (son Brett)

As well as countless other close friends. We also would like to express a special thank you to long-time family friend Mary, for her compassion and care towards us during not only during this time, but also over the last 40 years.
