

Mary Ann was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and spent many years in Omaha, Nebraska, where she graduated from Omaha University and went on to become an elementary school teacher. She had a lifelong love of reading and dancing, and was deeply devoted to community service, actively participating in the American Legion Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, and P.E.O. Sisterhood.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Hula, and husband Russ, of Williamsburg, Virginia; her son, Jerry Sund, of Verona, Kentucky; and her two grandsons, Connor Hula and Parker Hula. She was predeceased by her mother, Wanda Mercuriali; her stepfather, Jerry Mercuriali; and her father, Clarence Sorensen.
Mary Ann will return to her beloved state of Florida for her final resting place.
