Marina Whitehead Allen

Marina Whitehead Allen, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Born on February 17th, 1950 in Portsmouth, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John and Corrine Whitehead.

Graduated from Woodrow Wilson Highschool in 1967. Marina was a retired bookkeeper from Snow Jr. and King. A proud member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 50 years. Marina cherished the fellowship and fun she shared with the women in the group. She loved her family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. Marina is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Roger Leigh Allen; daughter, Courtney Allen Letterio (Richmond); sister, Barbara Brooks (Wayne); and niece, Amber Connolly (Christopher).

A celebration of her life will be held from 4-6pm on Friday, June 12th at Smith & Williams Funeral Home Kempsville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
