Margo Ann Murphy

Margo was born July 20, 1952 in Syracuse, the beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Jane (Woods) Murphy. She attended and graduated from Jamesville-Dewitt High School, NY in 1970, completed an undergraduate degree at Rochester Institute of Technology, NY and furthered her studies at Old Dominion University, VA. She was a medical technologist working for many years at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, and was fond of cats, adopting strays over her lifetime. She was funny, carefree, and loved life with fearless energy. She will be greatly missed.

Margo is survived by her sister, Monica Murphy of Newport News, VA; brother, Mark Murphy of Dewitt, NY; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Podlaha-Murphy of West Roxbury, MA; her cousins, Wendy (Sean) Hanley and their sons Dan and Tim, Bruce (Virginia) Woods and their daughter, Lydia, and Craig (Barbara) Woods; and many friends.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Michael.

Arrangements are under the care of Neptune Cremation Service. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories online.
