A devoted mother and friend, Margaret lived a life full of curiosity, creativity, and compassion. She is survived by her beloved son, Timothy Clark Coleman; beloved daughter, Sandy Coleman Thompson; brother, Paul Mitchell; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and her former Husband, John Coleman. She was predeceased in death by her daughter, Shawn Marie Coleman; her parents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who welcomed her with open arms.
Before she retired, Margaret spent her professional career in the field of information technology, contributing her talents to organizations such as Goodwill and Sprint. Outside of work, she embraced life with an adventurous spirit. She was an avid traveler, a passionate camper, and someone who found joy in the simple wonders of the world. A lifelong animal lover, Margaret rescued many dogs over the years and leaves behind her two beloved cats.
A gifted crafter and longtime Girl Scout leader, Margaret gave generously of her time and talents to her community. She led by example, teaching kindness, resilience, and creativity to generations of young girls.
Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her life was one marked by love, laughter, and a sincere appreciation for every moment.
She will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Margaret’s memory — a cause close to her heart.
