Lynn Anita Stevens

Lynn A. Stevens, 74, of Virginia Beach, VA died on December 2nd, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Eva Stevens. She is survived by her sister, Dale S. Camat of Virginia Beach, VA. She graduated from Old Dominion University with her bachelor’s in education. She later furthered her education to receive her master’s degree in education. She taught at both Chesapeake Demonstration School and Western Branch Primary, both in Chesapeake City Public Schools for 38 years.

Lynn loved anything sports related. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved nieces. Kelli Stamm of Virginia Beach, Kristi Sabo of Florida, and Shelli Zimmerman of Charlottesville, VA. She adored her nieces and took them to her field days at her respective schools. She also took her teacher’s picture with them as well. She was loved by her students, some who wrote to her as adults telling her how much of an impression she had made on them. She loved helping others, friends who needed a helping hand, and students with any needs they had for school. She was a “True Giver!” She would work tirelessly to improve the standards for the Presidential Physical Fitness Patch. She coached softball and added track for the Elementary students, some of them getting scholarships for track and other sports.

A special thank you to Trinity Hospice for their love and comfort for Lynn. Her caregivers, Ida and Chris Cudiamat were incredible in their kindness and care they shared with Lynn during her illness.

A Celebration of life for Lynn will be held at a later date.
