Joseph Bednarczyk, 78, passed away on June 29, 2023. He was born in Syracuse, NY on August 20, 1944 to the late Adeline Kadamus and Mathew "Mike" Bednarczyk. He had been employed in engineering, construction management and contract management, overseeing work in 26 states.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosemary Kelly Bednarczyk; daughters, Tina St. Mark of N. Syracuse, NY and Dawn Butcher (Joel) of Murfreesboro, TN; and grandson, Ethan Butcher of Murfreesboro, TN.
He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Larry Bednarczyk (Janet) of Marcellus, NY and Karen Cretaro (Mike) of N.Syracuse, NY; and his several nieces and numerous cousins.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus St. John the Apostle Council 13467. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 1968 Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach, VA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics or a Charity of one's choice.
