Elizabeth Diane Wiesen

Betsy was born in Sharon, PA on January 26, 1941. She moved to Virginia Beach in December of 1991. She worked as a CNA in various local nursing homes until her retirement in 2004. Betsy spent her retirement time babysitting her grandchildren and enjoying Virginia Beach. Betsy was an avid crafter proficient in cross stitch, crochet, and knitting. She often made many gifts for the elderly during the various holiday seasons. She also enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, solitaire games, and was an avid league bowler. She was liked and loved by all who knew her and always met people with an infectious smile and demeanor seldom seen today. She was always willing to help anyone in need and never asked for anything in return. She was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Raymond C. Wiesen Jr. (Sonya) and Diane E. Rose (Richard); three grandsons, three granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Reed, four Brothers, four sisters, three nieces, and one nephew.

Betsy did not want a service as she would like people to remember her as she was and to reflect on the fond memories they have of her.
