Edward Milton Carr Jr.

The son of Edward M. Carr Sr. & Jadelle Standford. Ed was born in Tallahassee and raised in Ocala, Florida.

At the age of 17, Ed enlisted in the U.S Navy as an Interior Communication Specialist. His last tour was a dream come true. He was attached to Assault Craft Unit Four, Little Creek and was the Craftmaster of LCAC #39. In 1991 Ed was awarded “Sailor of the Year” in 1992 he was promoted to “Chief Petty Officer”.

Ed was a true family man. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. Ed never met a stranger whose heart he did not touch and was a spiritual counselor to many.

Ed is survived by his wife Debra Carr, 4 children: Amiee Carr and husband Earle Smaltz, Elizabeth Midgett and husband Thomas, Laura Carr, Daniel Prince and wife Chesney. 3 grandchildren: Madison, Jacob and Brittnay. 5 Siblings: Connie Carr (wife of David Carr deceased), Arthur Reese, Joe Adams (husband of Kathy Adams deceased), James Carr and wife Viola, Lynn Sloan, and husband John.
