Douglas Wayne Whiting, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2024, in Chesapeake, VA, at the age of 85. Born on May 29th, 1939, to Phillip and Irene Whiting, Douglas was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Virginia International Terminals. Douglas is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, and his seven children: Nicole Anderson, Donald Davis, Billy Davis, Pat Davis, Cheryl Marshall, David Davis, and John Davis. His legacy also includes 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. He was predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Irene Whiting. Douglas will be remembered for his strength, love, and devotion to his family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
