Donald James Jones

Sports defined Don, especially Alabama College Football, the Nationals, and March Madness. He loved history, was a Civil War buff and World War II expert. Don loved his dog, Piper and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He looked forward to his annual golf trip to Mrytle Beach with the guys and enjoyed a spirited game of poker with his friends. He liked to travel, particularly road trips.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Stephanie Jones; sister, Nancy Copp and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Jane Dugan and Susan Pendagast.

In keeping with the wishes of Don there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Food Bank or the American Lung Association.
