

Cynthia Bell Manzo, 78, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2026. She and her husband, Steve, were married for 57 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who shaped every life she touched.
Cindy was a teacher, an avid reader, and a lifelong chihuahua lover. She was a member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church and the Chesapeake Social & Newcomers Club, where she formed many close friendships. Cindy was friendly, outgoing, thoughtful, and generous. She loved much and was much loved.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Hill Manzo; her two sons, Mark Christian Manzo and Matthew Christopher Manzo; her beloved grandson, Matthew Joseph Manzo; and her devoted sister, Candace Bell Bressler.
A private cremation will take place. In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be held until her husband’s passing, after which their remains will be lovingly scattered together into the sea.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Great Bridge United Methodist Church, 201 Stadium Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
Cindy was generous without exception. She believed in spreading kindness far and wide, and she supported many charitable organizations with small gifts throughout her life. In her memory, the family invites contributions to any charity of your choice.
