Carolyn Carr was such a beautiful soul;
One whose virtues and achievements would take long to extol.
She began life in New Jersey but quickly found
Her parents and siblings would soon move around.
They finally settled and found home by the sea
Life must have known Virginia Beach was meant to be.
She found love in her twenties, which changed her life
as she quickly became a military wife.
She drove cross the country in her small little civic
and spent a few years living by the Pacific.
Her first daughter arrived during their time in La Jolla.
She never knew she could feel so much joy-a.
Her next two daughters were just years apart
Continuing to grow more love in her heart.
By this time she had the perfect small family
And ended up back in Virginia, uncannily.
After a brief stint in military housing,
they found the ideal home while out browsing.
She soon took up work as a school bus driver,
Another joy, of which no one could deprive her.
It was a dream job she’d always profess.
She had so much generosity, she could not suppress.
Her students all loved her and that was her dream.
Her second was building her tiny dog team.
She always had, in the back of her mind,
Saving any small dog that would be confined.
Her heart sang with each new adoption,
Giving these poor tiny dogs a new life option.
Despite all her love, she silently struggled
with a skin condition that left doctors puzzled.
She had to withdraw from parts of her life
that may have caused loved ones lots of strife.
All of her grandchildren sadly missed out
On the woman, full of life, she had been throughout.
In the end she was taken by a rare form of cancer,
And her family, all left searching for an answer.
She gave so much of herself to others,
Her daughters, lucky to experience the best of mothers.
Carrie, you know, has always loved rhyming,
And knowing messages are all about timing.
We truly hope her legacy will continue
With all the memories you have within you.
