William will be remembered as a beloved and cherished presence—steadfast in devotion to those he loved, and resilient through life’s demands. Hard-working and brave, he met each day with determination, yet never lost the kind-hearted spirit that drew people close. Even in serious moments, his humor had a way of easing the weight of the world and reminding others to take comfort in one another.
He is survived by his Fiancee Tamala Tomlinson of Tucson, AZ , His children Brittany Glenn, Courtney Pennebaker, William "DJ" Pennebaker of Fort Myers, FL, Lynnette and Emily Pennebaker of Virginia, His brothers James Sheridan of Wabash, IN and Duane Sheridan of Houston, TX and his sister Brenda Sheridan of Charlotte, NC. He is survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews.
William found joy in the simple, meaningful things: camping and fishing, building and traveling, and the companionship of his dogs. He also loved motorcycles—embracing the open road with the same courage and independence that shaped so much of his life.
He lived with a code that never wavered, that reflected him plainly and well: “I'm a keep it real kind of dude.”
A loving father, a devoted brother, protective Fiancee, and loyal friend, William was known for giving freely of himself—often offering help without hesitation and, as those closest to him knew, willing to give his last to someone in need. His memory will continue to live on forever.
