Roger J. Daldrup died peacefully at age 88 on July27, 2017. Born on January 9, 1929 in St. Louis, MO, to Blanche T. and Joseph J. Daldrup. Roger spent his youth in Montrose, MO. Roger received his PhD. from the University of Missouri, Columbia in Counseling and Guidance. Roger married Phyllis Claire Melching in 1950. In 1962, Roger and his family moved to Tucson, AZ where he was on the faculty at the University of Arizona, College of Education. During his tenure at the University of Arizona, Roger co-authored Freedom From Anger and Focused Expressive Psychotherapy as well as numerous articles. He was also engaged in private practice and served as a workshop and group facilitator. He loved traveling the world with his second wife, Lou Ann Chase Daldrup. Roger is survived by his children Timothy Daldrup( Nina), Ann Hochevar (Joseph) and Stephen Daldrup (Kathy) and his stepchildren Sarah Knostman (Rick), Leslie Buros and Martha Yates along with numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Arizona Homestead for their compassionate care. A memorial service is planned for October 14, 2017 at 11:00 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Pinetop, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
