Phillip Owen Keller

Phillip Owen Keller passed away on May 16, 2017, at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 23 days. He was born on February 23, 1936 in Clearfield, Iowa, the son of Gerald and Ariel (Greene) Keller. Phillip attended Diagonal Community School. He married Mary Pine on June 9, 1957. He lived and farmed on the family farm, until retiring and moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1990. Then, in 2004, he and Mary moved to Tucson, Arizona fulltime, after spending many winters there. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, going to craft shows and spending time with his grandsons. Phillip is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Rhonda Keller of Colorado Springs; Grandsons, Chase Girard (wife Marsha and daughter Mileena) of Colorado Springs, Tyler Girard of Colorado Springs and Danny Girard (wife Kim, daughter Abby and son, Aiden) of Clearfield, Utah; and sister, Barbara Walter of Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Ken Keller. No services are scheduled and interment will be at Bethel Cemetery in Diagonal, Iowa, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Phillip’s name to the charity of your choice.
