She was born in Gary, Indiana on October 5, 1948, a daughter of Billy E. and Virginia (Hyde) Rees. They preceded her in death. She was the youngest of their three children.
Patricia is survived by her husband, of twenty-one years, George De La Vara of Tucson; sons, Phillip Swigon of Merrillville, IN and Jason (Miranda) Swigon of Wheatfield, IN ; grandchildren, Phillip, Jacob, Sophia, Zoe, Skyla and Boston; brother, Fred (Danette) McKee of Vancouver, WA; and sister, Janet (Skip) Brehmer of Tucson.
She enjoyed a career in accounting and property management. She was an accomplished oil painter and artist and spent several years as an art teacher.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
