Our beloved mother, Patricia M. Hoover, at the age of 72, passed away at home on January 29, 2017, after a long illness. She was surrounded by loving family. Patricia Hoover was a seventeen year resident of Oro Valley, Arizona and was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois and later was a resident on the Northwest Side of Chicago. Prior to moving to Arizona, Patricia was a retired worker of DuPage County General Services Department, where all who worked with her also loved her. After many years of hard work, she then retired to Oro Valley and took a part time job, while she enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful scenery. During this time, Patricia took in rescue animals and gave them a forever home. Her kindness and concern towards people and animals is a beautiful legacy. Patricia is preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel Carrillo, and dear friends, Janet “Sue” Bartels and Clover Walters. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Laura Reese (nee Salazar); son-in-law, Kurt Reese; brother, Joseph Hoover and his wife, Eunice Hoover, of Virginia; nephew, Bob Fender and wife Karen Fender, of Colorado; great niece, Bonnie Tait, and her son, Matthew Tait, of Arizona. She will also be missed by her loyal pet, Scottie Hoover. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
