Mitchell Joseph Jeczalik Sr. of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on the morning of December 19th 2024. He was 92 years old. Mitch was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 30, 1931. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 59 years, Arlene Jeczalik, who passed away in December of 2016. The couple relocated from Illinois to make their home in Sun City West in 1993.
Mitch leaves behind a family legacy through his five children, Mitchell Jeczalik Jr. (Susan), Nadine Hummel (Marc), Arlette Eshleman (Brad), Denise Jeczalik, and Lynette Fairchild, as well as 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mitch had a long career in the transportation industry, serving as a Conductor for the Milwaukee Railroad for 18 years followed by 24 years working for United Airlines. He maintained a lifelong love of rail, devoting many hours volunteering at his local Miniature Railroad Club. He was also an active member of the Polish American Club.
Mitch could spend hours alone crafting woodwork masterpieces and yet loved a good party. His tough exterior housed a deeply loyal heart, which his close friends and family were privileged to see and will miss greatly.
